2013-12-11	Datr	Zuril: When I first joined the site there was a Copy Fen button, it didn't work for technical reasons, would this feature work with the new board, if so I would recommend re-instating it.
2013-12-08	Datr	Zuril: When I login on my laptop I have no problem, but when I try to login on my Blackburry Playbook using the same username and password the login fails. The board works fine on the playbook but login in doesn't. Any ideas?

My original idea was to send an email to all players, except those who have opted out, when any comment was made not just a reply. I suppose in an ideal world players would have the option to: 1. Receive emails for all comments 2. Receive emails only as a reply to their comments. Personally I would opt for both, but others may only opt for 2. and some would opt out altogther.

2013-12-06	Zuril	I've implemented the feature that send an email to inform if someone comment the same problem you have commented before. Let me know if it works! Can be disabled in user settings.
2013-12-06	Tirajana	Using Arena 3.0, I set up a tournament with StockfishDD, Houdini15a and, as a sparring partner, Crafty. Round robin tournament at 5 minutes, 3 rounds, 6 games. Results: 3 Steps to Stock, 1 to 2 Houd and Craf. Very interesting.

2013-12-06	Datr	Thanks for the info, I have downloaded Stockfish DD and played it against Fritz 13 and Houdini 1,5 a and both games were drawn.
2013-12-06	N4pll	Zuril: Stockfish DD came out this week. It might be stronager than Houdini 3!!! DD stands for Don Dailey who was a strong chess programmer.
2013-12-04	Datr	My "real" ELO is very similar to my site rating. It is important to realise that all rating systems are closed systems and that a player's rating is a simple a rating that is measured against all other players within that system. So if I had an ELO of 2500 on this site and a "real" ELO of 1500 all that would mean is I am performing better against other players on this site and not as good in the real world. Every player has a true but unknown playing strength that is constantly changing and the rating a player has is simple an estimate of their strength relative to other players within the system that provides the rating.

2013-12-03	Datr	Zuril: Another small improvement to consider. In USER STATS next to ELO I think it would be useful to have Current Ranking. Eg Instead of just ELO 1792 It would say ELO 1972 and in a new box Current Ranking 123. This would save players having to look in Ranking Tactics for their rank.

2013-12-01	Datr	Johangnorman I am a player just like you, I do like to support the site so I often respond to players comments to help Zuril and free his time to develop the site. 1. Are you aware that you can copy the FEN string, which is shown at the board of the board when viewing the Solution? You can then paste this into you GUI software and the position is automatically set up for you. 2. If you Donate a small but reasonable amount Zuril will disable the advertisements for you. I contribute a small amount each year as a thank you a sign of appreciation for all the good work that Zuril is doing. Finally, when making Comments on The Wall I keep an eye on "Remaining characters" when making long comments.

I was just giving some suggestions for improvement starting with a suggestion to have a chess engine available for all problems and provide the users the ability to move the pieces around as much as they would like and see how the chess engine responds.
2013-12-01	Johangnorman	to have some type of chess engine support embedded in the puzzles and I would like to be able to play different variations on the board and see what the engine's response would be. I did about 20 puzzles tonight and on one of them, I had to actually set the puzzle up in Shredder GUI so I could go through different variations and that was inconvenient. The board highlights all the legal moves for each piece when the mouse is over that piece. I prefer not to have that feature. I would like to have some way of disabling/enabling that feature depending on the user's preference. Lots of commercials on each page, a little bit irritating although of course I understand that the site owner would like to make some money . Maybe a feature should be available where paid members would have the commercials removed. Speaking of removing, I am glad that finally that guy Gary (whatever his name is) was banned at least temporarily. He was rude and abrasive. Again, the site looks real good. Congratul
2013-12-01	Datr	Dear All In the interests of the site I am going to suspend responding to other players comments on a daily basis. I think my comments, although intended to be helpful may be having an adverse affect on the site. I would like to see more interaction between players and by suspending my responses I will be giving other players more of a chance to share their views. I will still be making comments about the problems I have attempted and would appreciate any appropriate feedback. I may respond to other payers comments on a Wednesday and Sunday, thus leaving the rest of the week free for others. If this doesn't stimulate more interaction I will resort back to responding on a more regular basis.

2013-11-29	Datr	Another site I use automatically sends an email when a comment is posted, players unsubscribe to this service if they wish. I think this is a good idea that should be added to the improvements list for future consideration, and it certainly should be built in to the mobile applications you are developing.
